Your love for your animal is the reason that you are having a portrait made of them.  This is the reason your complete satisfaction is important to me.  A $20 deposit is required before I start a portrait, but until you are satisfied with the portrait, you are not asked for any other payment.  I will send you a digital photo when the portrait is completed via e-mail.  If you are completely happy with the portrait, I will ship the portrait and the reference photos, upon receiving the rest of the payment.
 
     The final portrait will look like the photo, so the quality and focus of the photos you send will be very important. Sending extra photos may help for details, coloring, and personality.  There are some suggestions for taking good photos on the Photography Tips section of my site.  On photos that were taken professionally, you may need to ask the photographer for permission, as their photos are copyrighted.
 
     The time it will take me to complete the portrait, will depend on the number of commissions I have at the time.  Please check with me if you have a special date in mind, Christmas, birthday, and so forth. I will try to finish the portrait by the needed date if at all possible.  I will let you know if I feel unable to oblige you.
 
     Please ask about rates for special requests such as combining portraits of more than one pet, special backgrounds, special dimensions and so forth.  Leaving out collars and so on, are no problem.
 
     I do colored pencil portraits on acid-free mat board, and watercolor portraits on 140 lb. acid-free, cold-pressed rag paper stock. 
 
     Prices are listed in US dollars and include packaging and shipping by UPS within North America.  Portraits are shipped flat within a padded box, and for safety reasons do not include a mat or frame.
